About Beatriz
I was born in Guadalajara and have lived here most of my life.
I am very enthusiastic about my city and the many fascinating places in the surrounding areas,
and enjoy sharing them with my clients.
Have lived and worked in the United States and speak English fluently. This has enabled me
to become familiar with American preferences and culture.
Am a certified tourist guide with more than ten years’ experience and am fully licensed.
I am a resources person with contacts in the government, business community, professionals
such as doctors, lawyers, etc. and with local artists and artisans.
I provide an air-conditioned car for transportation of my clients.

Hiring Beatriz as our tour guide was the right decision. She customized the itinerary for the day based on what we wanted to see and do and made every moment count. With her excellent English, local knowledge, warmth and humour, we couldn't have asked for a better guide. We've already recommended her to friends and look forward to using her again!

I first met Beatriz over six years ago when I employed her as my guide in Guadalajara. She has assisted me on numerous occasions since that time and I have always been impressed with her sincerity, enthusiasm, knowledge and resourcefulness.

I have engaged Beatriz de la Garza on several occasions during business trips to Guadalajara and nearby Lake Chapala. On my first visit, I was referred to her by helpful members of the American Society. When we met, her first valuable advice was, "Return your rental car!" From then on, she took charge, and demonstrated that I could not have had successful visits to Guadalajara without her.
Her self-taught English is remarkable, including the many confusing idioms we use without thinking. Equally important is that she is a "quick study" of complex undertakings, aided by her high level of energy and punctuality. A bonus is that Beatriz seems to know everyone, in part from being a true Tapatia (native of Guadalajara). Apart from our business dealings, we remain close friends with Beatriz and her charming daughter, and I can recommend her services without reservation.

Dear Beatriz
I want to thank you for the many services you have provided for me over the last few years. When I arrived in your beautiful country in 2000, I did not know one word of Spanish and had absolutely no idea where to go or what to do.
AMSOC [The American Society of Jalisco] recommended you as a tour guide and it was one of the best decisions I made to hire you. You showed me many parts of Guadalajara I would have never found. The trips to the outlying areas with their specific charms and the various skills and talents of the people who lived and worked there was most gratifying.
Our tours to Tequila, Chapala and Ajijic ended up with me eventually buying a lovely hacienda in paradise. Thank you so much for your patience and expertise. Along with the tour business you are now helping me with the FM3 [Immigration visa]. Your knowledge of the local laws and customs is a great help.
Just the knowledge of the many fine restaurants made our tours most pleasurable. I would not hesitate to recommend you to anyone coming to the area and needing a tour guide, legal advisor, apartment hunter or a genuine nice lady who knows how to get things done!
All the very best to you. and your future clients.
